It's kinda' har to tell when you use English characters. No rules apply, really. But yeah, I know the Island, though I've never been to it. I've have, however, been to Kefalonia, which is an Island close to it. Actualy one of the best beaches I've been to is a beach in Elefonisos. I mean, the water was crystal clear, like a carribean beach. It was amazing.

I'll not be very active this week. I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, but I'll try to be as active as I can.

Tomorrow, I won't be active, I'll be on the train all the day. Or atleast I hope. There was a storm tonight, and the storm has caused many cancelled trains. Hopefully, the trains will roll again tomorrow.

English is one of the simplest languages of the planet, and my experience with cyrillics says it's easy to learn a new alphabet.

English is one of the most difficult and complex languages.

No point in arguing about this, I guess.

Having to understand such a complex language, your linguistic capabilities must be more advanced than mine. How many languages do you speak and how many do you understand?

I'm gonna have to agree with Deus. Sure, English is a little confusing at times and has a few exceptions to its rules, but basic English is easy to learn and can get you very far.

Problem with this argument is it is all a matter of opinion and personal experience...
But I still stand firm and say that english is a highly complex language.

It's not really all that subjective. If a lot of people learn it easily, it's easy to learn. And if not a lot of people learn it easily, it's hard to learn.

But English isn't intrinsically a difficult language to understand. Its verb tenses (which is often the hardest part to learn of a new language) are straightforward, the only problem is that it has quite a few exceptions to its rules. But this doesn't make it complex, just sometimes confusing.

I don't speak any other languages, but I know some things about other languages, general stuff.

Greek has:

Three different "e"
Two different "o"
And like five combinations of the above, which vary depending on the ending of the word.

And there are pretty much no rules as to which words have which "e" or "o"
