Never was a CYOA in the first place. Those're multi-player efforts, with each major character being run by a player.

As for the "new" direction; I wouldn't worry about it. You'll get used to it. For one thing, the time period in which the Aquila may be found is the central focus of the series; the Aquila itself has a prominent although not total role. The Twelfth Century is a very minor setting, relatively speaking.
Chapter II of at least ten.

Little of everything in those ten-plus chapters. Vampires, lazors, dirigibles, imperial conquest, pirates (Space and otherwise), conspiracy, global war, interstellar war, atrocities, murder, drunkenness, jetpacks, battle armour, espionage, a touch of civil war.. everything from fantasy to SF to film-noir.

Should be fairly dramatic once it really gets going.

Now, if it's "fun" you want (by which I presume you mean chaotic bloodshed) I have an idea which I suspect will more than slake your thirst.

For a Bionicle builder, that is one heck of a System MOC!

Just a disclaimer: I'm not exclusively a Bio-moccer, I only post those on MOCpages because they are easier to photograph and my Bionicle selection is practically fully sorted. I do do system occasionally, but don't often share them because they are decent at best.

Yep. I've been quite inactive lately due to various activities, but just yesterday I took all of the pics for a MOC of mine and I currently precessing them through editing software. Right now, it's looking pretty good.
