It was 20 years old, it wasn't gonna pass the next eco-test, it was a gas-guzzling monstrosity. We scrapped it, it didn't have much life left in it anyway.

But it still was a nice car. A 1991 Mercedes 190-E.

Nothing is ever beyond repair. too bad it would have been a neat car.

I had a car. One of those tiny old Morrises. About the size of a shoebox, but don't be decieved: that thing could upset hippies with the best of them. Or it would have, and I'd still be driving it, except it went two rounds with a dose of corrosion in the floorboards and came out reeling.

Apparently British cars are notorious for that.


Fortunately, the newer one (which the Male Parental Unit swapped a couple of cows for) doesn't have any of the useless carbon offsets that're now apparently de rigueur. I hear you have to shove them up the exhaust pipe or something, and it absorbs all the smelly bits. Don't really know. Don't really care.

I'm looking at cars too, though I don't get a permit for a year. Last night my dad and I looked at porsches and firebirds from the 60's and 70's.

I want a porsche, but I know I'll never get one
