I'm glad that most TFOLs aren't those mainstream pop/rap/hip hop fans. I just can't stand that stuff. IMO, it's just Autotuned voices with bad lyrics with no meaning and fake instruments. That's just my opinion, I'm not trying to offend those fans of pop. Anyway, rock all the way!

What the heck happened to their voices? xD
Nothing. Mette Lindberg (the singer, she's Danish) has a unique voice.

Oh.
But I also wanted to say that "fake instruments" can create good music in their own right. I'm a fan of electro house (and some prog house), and those are all computer.
Just because the instruments aren't physically there doesn't mean they're not real.

I know, but I think it gives the music a very fake felling with not much emotion. Personally, music coming from a guitar is a lot more emotional and technical than a synthesizer. Compare these two songs:
Now listen to them both, all the way through. Notice the first one has feeling, variation, and technical skill? If you really listen, you can hear unpredictable note choice and years of music theory knowledge packed into one song. Now listen to the second one. The song is based off a simple pentatonic scale. The background is predictable and the same thing over and over again. Not as much emotion, at least in the background music huh? The first one has the same amount of emotion, even without lyrics. It shows how physical instruments can do a lot more than a computer can.
Result: Pop is simple- rock is complicated. Rock has soul and feeling- pop... not as much.
I'm not trying to bash pop, but I'm just saying what I think.

Well, this shows that there IS some quality pop music. The first example you showed is what I consider the elite of pop. It defies all stereotypes, kind of like Psycho Monkey. Psycho Monkey show that rock doesn't have to be a bunch of headbangers singing about drugs, and After Hours shows that pop is not always emotionless fake junk. I think that we have come to the conclusion that there is some good in all genres.

You know apparently if you compare the old records to the modern-day CD's, the records sound much... warmer, more alive, whereas the CD's are cold and somewhat electronic.
I really can't vouch for either one, since I have never heard records. Yet...

I hold Heavy Metal and Rap at about the same leval, not complex at all, excedingly simple actually. I do enjoy both of them sometimes though.

You are only comparing average metal and rap, it looks like I'll have to link a few more songs. If you avoid prejudice, you might even realize that there's something bad in every genre, even classic. There isn't, however, good in every genre.
which I guess is more speed/hard rock and mathcore.
Hehe, riiiight...
Anyways, here's my second favourite song, one that should erase any doubt about metal being the second highest form of musical art.
It's in Swedish though, so you might like the story explained, from darklyrics.com:
[The world of ice in the distant north is a very mysterious place. Among its fog and inside its ice, the seed of life is buried. When the heat of Muspel turn the ice of Nifel into a stream of water, the creation begins to take place. Even though the frozen water of Nifel conceal a spark of life, this is first of all a place of death and the world fear the lethal strength of the icegiants who were born here in the beginning of time.]
